Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? Below are some answers to help. Of course feel free to call us if you we can help in any way!

  • Where are you located, and do you service my area?
We are located in Connecticut and cover the entire state. We also travel to Rhode Island, Massachusetts and certain parts of New York and New Hampshire.
  • How long does it take you to cook and what time will you get here?
We typically arrive on site 2 hours prior to serving time. Typically we are onsite for an average of 4 - 5 hours on the day of your event, the first 2 of which are spent cooking.
  • When is the final guest count, menu, and serving time due?
All of the final information is due 7 days prior to your event.
  • Can I customize the menu?
Absolutely! It's your event and you're more than welcome to make your own menu.
  • What does East Coast Clambakes bring?
In addition to the food, all of our clambakes and BBQ include the buffet tables, serving dishes, heavy-duty disposable plates, plastic utensils, lobster bibs, napkins, wet wipes, and all condiments.
  • What do I need to provide?
As we cook all of our meals fresh onsite, an outdoor space will be required for our setup (a minimum of 2-3 parking spots in size). Tables and chairs (for guests), beverages, and tenting (if needed or desired) are things you will need to provide. We can supply beverages if needed and can recommend rental companies in your area as well.
  • What if it rains?
Unless a rain date is agreed upon beforehand we will proceed as scheduled. We are fully capable of cooking and serving our clambakes in inclement weather. We will have popup tents for our cooking area and buffet area as well.
  • Do you cater all year round?
Yes, we do! While peak clambake season is May-October, we serve our clambakes and BBQs all year round. Christmas party clambakes have become increasingly popular over the last few years.
